IBIZA, SPAIN from the 4th – 24th August, Ibiza’s longest running authentic art event supported by local institutions, the independent avant-garde initiative by Biokip Labs, the BLOOP International Proactive Art Festival is taking place with the theme: CULMINATION. The Mediterranean gem will be the canvas for artists, a map of an augmented reality applied Treasure Hunt for adults and children, an OpenAir.Gallery of numerous murals and street art that continues to grow, a live DJ set premiere by Ibiza’s enchanting sunset and many more all based on one ethos: ART IS FOR EVERYBODY.
OPENAIR.GALLERY of STREET ART
Prior to the official kickoff, Spaik gives momentum with a 10 faced mural in Playa d’en Bossa on the shopping center La Sirena, just by the runway of Ibiza airport, a marine stampede of sea creatures in vibrant latino colors greet the tens of thousands tourist who land on Ibiza.
Muralists such as INO (his 4th time) and Helder Cavalcante will ashore to carry on expanding the OpenAir.Gallery, with their works that communicate messages to the gut of the audience. In the past some of the best streets artists have gathered for this project such as the likes of Okuda, Ben Eine, Phlegm, Interesni Kazki, Said Dokins, Amadama and many more.
BLOOP Art FESTIVAL IBIZA (beta version), the OFFICIAL APP
“ART IS FOR EVERYBODY” be it in the real world, and in the digital world.
The BLOOP’s official app (beta version), opens whole new worlds to enjoy street art by applying technology to art. The app let’s users to explore and discover the OpenAir.Gallery through an interactive map where they can “live” the gallery in augmented reality(AR). The OpenAir.Gallery Treasure Hunt is available where users can go hunt for real BLOOP murals using AR technologies on Ibiza island, a Pokemon Go BLOOP murals, and you can also win an actual prize. There is even a kids mode too, where children can go hunting for a real treasure (only with the presence of an adult). The app also keeps you up to date about the festival and provides all the information you need to know at the palm of your hands.
