Walking or hiking is a wonderful experience in Ibiza, where you’ll find plenty of sunshine and stunning scenery. You can enjoy a coastline walk or a stroll around the pretty villages.

The highest point on the island is the top of Sa Talaiassa, which is a challenge to climb in the summer heat! Another popular place to hike is Benimussa. Whilst walking and hiking is growing in popularity, the trails are still quiet so you may feel like you’ve got the route all to yourself.

Regardless of whether you’re a beginner or advanced walker, there is a route for everyone.

Walking trails

Whilst the trails on the island are great, it’s always worth carrying a map with you in case markings are covered, faded or if there isn’t a signpost. This will ensure you’re on the correct path and heading in the right direction.

City walks

Although Ibiza isn’t a large island, it has many towns big enough to have a good walk around. There are lots of sights and attractions, as well as great shops.

National parks

There are 2 national parks/nature reserves in Ibiza. Es Vedra Nature Reserve can be visited by boat. The Las Salinas National Park stretches along the coast and actually into the water. Roughly 75% of this park is in the sea!
