Less than a month ago, Ibiza got the amazing news that the clubbing season for 2022 had been given the green light.
José Luis Benítez, Manager of the Ibiza Leisure Association announced that the island’s clubs will be allowed to open from mid-April, and this year’s holiday season will likely stretch into Autumn even as late as November.
This anticipated statement of optimism is one that all lovers of the White Isle have been waiting for. What has followed since then is an exciting stream of updates, from club opening dates to DJ residency reveals.
Nightclubs across the Balearic island are gearing up to make sure this year’s parties in paradise are worth the wait. Check out the latest from our summary below!

International Music Summit (IMS) | Wednesday 27 – Friday 29 April
Ibiza industry insiders would agree that the International Music Summit represents the spark that ignites a season on the island. Through a series of keynotes, lectures, workshops and sessions, the platform will cover subjects that affect the clubbing culture and industry today.
Making a new home at the palatial Pacha-owned Destino, the three-day meeting of electronic music minds will offer an opportunity for collaborative conversation and networking once again.
Defected Opening Party | Friday 29 April
Setting up shop in San Antonio for 23 weeks, Defected returns to Eden for a mammoth season of parties.
The British brand’s boss, Simon Dunmore had this to say; “Absence makes the beat grow stronger. The enforced two-season hiatus has only served to make us all appreciate how integral Ibiza is to the dance music community”
A Friday night delight for dance floor enthusiasts, we can expect a whole heap of house goodness each and every week from the label’s impressive roster until it’s closing on 30 September.
Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza Opening Party | Saturday 30 April
Kicking off the summer in style, the two club titans of Playa d’en Bossa join together for an opening that’ll be nothing short of spectacular. The ‘Better Together’ event starts in Ushuaïa and carries on in Hï Ibiza – a midday until very late affair.
Paul Kalkbrenner, Stephan Bodzin, ARTBAT, Kölsch and Mathame take on the daytime DJing duties, whereas Black Coffee, Charlotte de Witte, Adam Beyer, Martinez Brothers, Chris Liebing and Damian Lazarus will be spinning tunes well into the night.
With an impressive line-up playing across two amazing venues, this is day-to-night reunion is worth saving the date for.

Ibiza Rocks Opening Party | Saturday 21 May
Situated in the sun-kissed centre of San Antonio, Ibiza Rocks Hotel is known as the home of the pool party. Their summertime opening in mid-May is tipped to host the hottest talent, from DJing wonders to chart-topping royalty.
The venue has already made waves in the season run-up with names like Joel Corry and Nathan Dawe already announced to be taking up poolside residencies. Can we expect past residents like Craig David, Rudimental or MK to be joining them this summer? We’re sure this news will drop very soon.
Amnesia Opening Party | Saturday 21 May
Amnesia was amongst the clubs that managed to pull off great parties last year despite the huge restrictions that faced them in 2021. A highlight was their closing party, where The Blessed Madonna and Jamie Jones signed off the summer in style.
Their “Dancing is not a crime” motto for 2021 represented their determination and commitment to dance music. This is why we believe this treasured institution will pull out all the stops for the 2022 opening party to truly celebrate the return of the rave.

Kevin & Perry Go Large | Monday 6 June
All we wanna do is do it! – go to the Kevin & Perry reunion that is. Two years after the film’s 20th anniversary, the team behind the cult favourite finally get a chance to celebrate in the legendary location where it was filmed.
Taking place in Amnesia, you’ll have two chances to experience this nostalgia-fest, the first on Monday 6 June and the second on Tuesday 27 September.
A star-studded line-up will feature across both nights, with a string of fellow DJs like Judge Jules, Seb Fontaine, Lange, Brandon Block and Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago set to rock the rooms with a 90s twist.
Joel Corry Opening Party | Wednesday 8 June
English celebrity DJ Joel Corry is well known for his upbeat house hits, infusing tropical flair with big-name collaboration projects. Working alongside chart-topping names like David Guetta, MNEK and Jax Jones to name a few, has propelled this DJ and producer’s career into the stratosphere.
It’s only logical then, that this five-time BRIT-nominated artist and maker of feel-good anthems spends his summer of 2022 in Ibiza Rocks. You can catch him, and a set of very special guests every Wednesday until 21 September.
Nathan Dawe Opening Party | Thursday 9 June
Bringing a fresh twist to the UK Garage scene is dance scene newcomer, Nathan Dawe. Following a hugely successful year in 2019 with his rework of UKG classic ‘Flowers’, he has released a string of chart worthy jams featuring the vocal talents of KSI, Little Mix, Jaykae and more.
After selling out huge shows in the UK, the young producer is ready to take on a full season of Thursdays on the White Isle, finishing on 22 September. Ibiza Rocks always have their finger on the pulse of electronic music when it comes to finding premium talent for their residencies, so we can expect an electric performance from Nathan Dawe for his debut at the San An hotspot.
Pyramid Opening Party | Sunday 12 June
Amnesia’s flagship night returns in full form in June, showcasing the very best from the tech-house and techno elite. Without a doubt, the clubbing brand’s success can be pinned down to their line-up curation, mixing European underground spinners with masters of heavy-hitting beats.
For those who happen to be on the island earlier in the season, Pyramid hit the ground running with a warm-up party on Friday 29 April featuring some of their favourite selectors; Luciano, Paul Woolford, Richy Ahmed, Amelie Lens, Ben Klock, East End Dubs, Seb Zito and many others. These deck dons will no doubt set the standards high for Amnesia’s season in 2022.
Repopulate Mars Opening Party | Tuesday 21 June
Ten years ago, Lee Foss helped cement a rising Hot Creation’s reputation as a label with his slow and deep hit Electricity. That was then, 2022 is now. He returns to the isle with his label showcase series, Repopulate Mars, which will run until 20 September at a currently undisclosed clubbing hotspot.
For those unaware of who and what this party is about, only need to listen to the back catalogue of the Repopulate Mars label. The sound is defined by deep cuts and eccentric rhythms from unlikely sources. To put it simply, there’s a lot of potential in this new party enterprise.

Shine Opening Party | Thursday 7 July
Trance fans will rejoice come July as Shine takes up residence in Eden for the summer. Under the likely guidance of Paul Van Dyk, the euphorically-charged clubbing brand will bring high BPMs and heavenly melodies to the San Antonio rave resort.
Ali & Fyla, Cosmic Gate, Ben Nicky, John O’Callaghan are likely faces to show up for deck duties throughout the season. Shine brings together devoted lovers of trance and first-time dance floor fans alike for hands-in-the-air moments in a laser-lit clubbing experience.
