As the summer heat softens into warm autumn afternoons, Hippy Market Punta Arabí—the Balearic Islands’ oldest and largest street market—has announced its final dates and special end-of-season opening hours before entering its winter break. The legendary market will welcome visitors every Wednesday from 10:00 to 18:00 throughout October, concluding its 2026 run on Wednesday, 28 October.
Held among the whitewashed pathways and pine groves of the four-star FERGUS Style Punta Arabí in Es Canar, the multicultural open-air market brings together more than 400 artisan stalls, live music, and diverse street food options. While the host hotel wraps up its summer season on 18 October, the market itself will continue trading for an additional two weeks through late October.
A 50-Year Heritage of Free-Spirited Island Culture
Established in 1973, Hippy Market Punta Arabí remains one of Santa Eulària des Riu’s most enduring cultural landmarks and an authentic showcase of the bohemian movement that shaped Ibiza’s global identity.
According to the Association of Vendors of Hippy Market Punta Arabí (AVEHMPA), supported by the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council, the gathering preserves the island’s original creative spirit:
“Hippy Market Punta Arabí is one of the cultural benchmarks of Santa Eulària des Riu and one of the most representative expressions of the hippie movement that defined Ibiza’s identity in the 1970s, keeping its open essence firmly tied to authentic artisan craft.”
What to Expect: Autumn Shopping, Street Food & Live Grooves
October offers an unhurried, relaxed pace to browse handcrafted goods under the mild Balearic sun. Visitors wandering through the grounds will discover:
-
Over 400 Artisan Stalls: Handmade jewellery, bespoke leatherwork, bohemian fashion, home décor, organic cosmetics, local island liqueurs, and sustainable creations made from recycled materials.
-
Live Music: Daily sets across the grounds, providing the laid-back soundtrack synonymous with Punta Arabí.
