Hi, I’m Howard Hill, known across the island and beyond as DJ Howard.
My speciality is connecting with diverse audiences at private parties and taking everyone on eclectic musical journeys.
I first came to Ibiza over 25 years ago and was immediately smitten by the daytime vibe of Salina beach. DJing didn’t follow immediately as at the time I was working as a writer/director producing music documentaries for Channel Four TV.
When I did start to DJ (over 25 years ago) my vision was clearly set on bringing the eclectic Balearic vibe to London. Starting off playing the trendy Primrose Hill bar ‘The Steeles’ my reputation quickly spread keeping me busy in the private party scene while also holding residencies in a variety of venues including the Lockside Lounge in the heart of Camden market.
I moved permanently to Ibiza in 2012 and that same year Space magazine (The lifestyle mag of the Internationally acclaimed club Space) named me as ‘Best daytime DJ’. That certainly doesn’t mean that I only plays daylight hours but I am most often found playing beaches, poolsides, rooftops, cocktail lounges and countless private villa and yacht parties. I also play many wedding celebrations but wherever I play, my speciality is in setting the tone by creating a unique Ibiza vibe.Over the last 12 years I’ve played in many of the most acclaimed and lush venues on the island including residencies at Pikes Hotel, Café Mambo, Cala Bonita, Atzaro Spa Hotel, Hostel La Torre, Coco Beach, Nobu Hotel, W Hotel, The Harbour Club and the super cool beach bar Word of Mouth, where I have been a resident since it’s opening in 2021.
Whenever I return to London I usually played the celebrated private members club The Groucho and am welcomed at underground club, Putney Pies, where I have played since soon after their opening. Last year I played a series of gigs at a French chateau near Carcassonne and was booked to celebrate the 70th year celebration of the famed Marbella Club Hotel.
When Spanish fashion house Loewe launched a subsidiary label, Paula’s Boutique, based on Boho Chic styles of legendary Ibiza shop of the same name, they chose me to play their launch party because they felt I encapsulate the Ibiza ethos. After playing the launch party in their flagship Madrid showrooms 1 was booked again to play a secret beach location for a lavish party thrown for their agents from around the world.
Having a very inquisitive musical taste it is almost impossible to present something that will capture my musical style in one mix so here are a selection of recent 2 hour mixes which capture the diversity of my taste which covers everything from lush Chillout to raving Latin Tribal beats.

The title of this mix is a nod to my view that just because we aren’t dancing doesn’t mean that the music should be chilled and alternatively that even if the music is bouncing doesn’t mean that we have to get up and start dancing, Over 2 hours this mix takes the listener on an entertaining and hopefully inspirational musical journey across many different genres and tones.Bouncing Deep House Jazz Vol 8

For several years now I have been collecting and championing the collision of contemporary dance music with Jazz instrumentation and chord progressions. To date I have published 8 Volumes of Deep House Jazz on my MixCloud page. In October 2024 the Ibiza Jazz festival was launched at beachside venue Word of Mouth. As a resident I was going to be playing immediately after the live jazz group so decided to put together my own high energy mix of Deep House Jazz. This live recording reached No3 on MixCloud’s Jazz Dance chart.
