The Discover Ibiza team was excited to come and experience WOW Ibiza’s fabulous hospitality on a sizzling summer night in July. Taking our seat in the spacious lounge area, which, thanks to its lack of walls and an abundance of tropical plants feels more like a garden terrace, it wasn’t long before we were sipping on exquisite cocktails.
With the bar headed up by renowned mixologist Federico M. Nocera, the menu features more than 10 creative signature cocktails, such as the “tiki WOW” and “la bamba”, as well as lots of classics. Colourful, flavoursome and bold, it’s the perfect way to toast the night ahead.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, head chef; Pépé Topper is working his magic. Together with his team, he has created a refined and high-end brasserie-style offering. Using the best produce of Ibiza, unique ingredients sourced from around the world, and, from this year on, freshly grown fruit, vegetables and herbs from WOW Ibiza’s own garden, a feast for all senses awaits.
We decided to order an enticing mix of dishes to sample the width and breadth of the menu, and it was truly mouth-watering. However, a special shout-out needs to go to the plump, silky oysters, with a choice of different dressings available: lemon and pickled shallots, Bloody Mary granita and tomato vinaigrette, and – the most decadent – Champagne, yuzu and soy sauce.
Another star plate is the spectacular steak, with two options to choose from! There is the dry-aged, slow-cooked tenderloin, which melts in the mouth, as well as the 600gr Ribeye sharing platter – the ultimate treat for meat lovers.
In between courses, we thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the vibrant atmosphere as Ibiza’s movers and shakers mingled, clinked glasses and dined together in this trendy setting. We also experienced some mind-boggling Ibiza magic as WOW Ibiza’s in-house tricksters demonstrated his slight of hand at our table – leaving us in wonder like we were children again!
