A secret bay that entices island adventurers and hiking types alike, Cala Llentrisca is a hard to find but rewarding beach destination. Hidden in the shadow of coastal cliffs, this charming stony strip is a hidden retreat for those that want to escape into Ibiza’s beautiful countryside.

The cove is located in Ibiza’s rural south-west, close to Es Cubells. From the village drive down past the church and onto a rough dirt road, where eventually you will go past signs for Restaurant Ses Boques.

Around the corner, you will be stopped at a barrier checkpoint by gated community security, to which you tell the guard you are going to Cala Llentrisca, which usually allows you access.

Drive to the bottom of this road (click on our map for a closer look) and make sure you park out of the way, the owners of the nearby villas will greatly appreciate you for this. Head through the clearing past the end villa and follow the rocky cliff side trail, after 10 minutes walk you will reach Cala Llentrisca.

We advise changing into good sturdy walking shoes or trainers for the walking section as the path to the beach is both narrow and steep. Additionally, it is advisable to walk the route during cooler times of the day, given the nature of the rugged terrain.

Once explorers arrive at the paradisiacal location, they are greeted with views pebbly beachhead lined with traditional fishing huts. From this sun-soaked spot, you can enjoy views of the coast southern coast and beyond.

The sea here is both crystal clear and calm, perfect for snorkelling and leisurely swimming. A pine tree grove surrounds the beach, providing an idyllic shaded area when you need to get out of the sun.

Because the bay is out the way and not easily accessible, our top tip is pack everything in a rucksack for the day. Whilst this is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic, please care for the majestic nature of this location by taking your rubbish with you.
