Dance music charity Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (LNADJ) has completed its Cycle Ibiza Challenge for 2023.
The three-day event which took place on the 4th, 5th and 6th May, included up to 260km of cycling around the stunning coastlines and iconic settings of the white isle.
All proceeds will go to LNADJ’s Get Equipped and Street to Street campaigns, which provides surplus music equipment to educational and community organisations that support children and young adults in the UK and beyond. With expert guidance from world-class DJs and producers, the campaign teaches young people how to play, mix, and create music using the equipment, thereby providing access to music education in areas where there isn’t any. Get Equipped together with Street to Street, focuses on music and art to build confidence, elevate the positive profile of street youth, and provide a safe space for learning, self-discovery, as well as stress and emotional release.
Any money raised from the Cycle Ibiza Challenge 2023 goes towards facilitating the team, which includes a mix of music production teachers, DJs and Artists, to visit a number of the projects and provide them with equipment and education enabling them to learn new creative skills.
The routes taken had a range of distances, which welcomed both novice and professional cyclists and the gave people the chance to see the beauty of Ibiza from a different perspective. This included passing the awe-inspiring DC-10 and Café Mambo to name a few hotspots, plus incredible views of the salt lakes of Las Salinas, the picturesque villages of Santa Gertrudis, San Josep, San Juan and many more.
The team were supported by headline sponsor, specialist recruitment agency Oyster.
Jonny Lee, Founder of LNADJ said, “Cycle Ibiza is always a calendar date I look forward to; finding a few days to share a charity challenge with supporters of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and communicating more with them about our work is fantastic.
The month of May offers a very different side to Ibiza, which is chilled with quieter roads aiding a really stunning cycle through the country lanes.
The social element is enriching, and raising funds to support our projects helps make a significant impact to our mission to change lives and save lives.”
