From June 26th to September 18th, HUGEL’s Make The Girls Dance concept takes over Ibiza, offering an energetic and rhythm-driven experience inspired by his signature fusion of Latin and house music. Known for his ability to seamlessly blend underground grooves with global appeal, HUGEL’s addition to the Hï Ibiza roster reinforces the venue’s commitment to innovation and genre-blurring talent, solidifying its place at the cutting edge of electronic music culture.

The ethos of HUGEL’s residency mirrors that of his record label, Make The Girls Dance, which champions quality, timeless music while uplifting artists from Afro house, Latin house, Afro Latin, and classic house backgrounds. This residency promises a celebration of music that moves bodies, hearts, and spirits, perfectly aligning with Hï Ibiza’s world-class production, cutting-edge sound, and electric atmosphere.

Speaking about the residency, HUGEL said: “I’ve dreamt of becoming a resident DJ at Hï Ibiza for a long time now, I could always just see how it would work. We’ve been on the road for a while now with Make The Girls Dance, but now it’s time to find a more permanent summer home at Hï. There’s no better place to do that than the world’s #1 club in my opinion. Ibiza, get ready, we’re going to make history this year.”

HUGEL has become one of the most influential artists in the electronic music scene, captivating dancefloors worldwide with his unique sound. As the original Latin house instigator and platinum-selling producer, he has expertly blended Afro house, tech house, and a diverse range of international influences, from the high-energy house of Morenita to the smooth Afrohouse grooves of I Adore You and Patadas de Ahogado. His ability to fuse vibrant Latin rhythms with infectious electronic beats has made him a global sensation. With over 1 billion streams and a string of club classics like Andalucia, La Verdolaga, CORAÇAO, and I Adore You, HUGEL’s tracks have become anthems at festivals and clubs around the world, from Burning Man and EDC to Tomorrowland. A staple on Beatport’s Top 100, his unmatched reputation as a hitmaker ensures that his residency at Hï Ibiza will be one of the most unmissable events of the 2025 season.

With its state-of-the-art production capacities, world-class sound, and an electrifying crowd, Hï Ibiza continues to redefine the global clubbing landscape. HUGEL’s Make The Girls Dance residency is set to be a game-changer, offering a fresh and unforgettable experience that will keep the island dancing all night long.

ABOUT HUGEL

A key figure in the Latin House movement, HUGEL rose to fame with his hit “Morenita.” A multi-gold and platinum-selling artist with over 1 billion streams, his music has dominated the number 1 spot on Beatport and is played at top venues and prestigious events worldwide.

Born and raised in Marseille, France, by the Mediterranean Sea, HUGEL grew up surrounded by funk, disco, and soul, thanks to his mother’s influence. At 16, he discovered DJing with vinyl, drawing inspiration from legends like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Daft Punk, Amine Edge, and David Guetta. After years of honing his production skills, he became a hitmaker, crafting a house sound deeply influenced by Ibiza and the Latin culture he absorbed while living on the island. In 2023, he launched his own record label, Make The Girls Dance, specializing in Afro-Latin House. Within a year, the label became one of Beatport’s Top 3 best-selling Afro House labels.

HUGEL’s success continued in 2024 with “I Adore You,” a collaboration with Topic, Arash, and featuring Daecolm. The track entered the German singles chart, peaking at number 8, marking his first-ever UK chart entry.

ABOUT MAKE THE GIRLS DANCE

Make The Girls Dance Records and Events is all about good vibes, tribal drums, and a whole ethnic & spirutal sound. The name actually comes from the early days of HUGEL’s DJ career at the clubs on the French Riviera. Back then, the club owners would always push him to play tracks that would “make the girls dance” — The idea behind this was simple: get the ladies on the dance floor to drive up sales of tables and champagne bottles. It was all about getting the crowd hyped.

As HUGEL’s sound evolved, he realized there was a need to create a space for his unique style of music — something that was all about that energy, that groove, and that vibe that made people move. That’s when Make The Girls Dance Records was born. It wasn’t just about giving his own music a home, but also about helping other producers with a similar style of music get their tracks out there and get the recognition they deserved. It was a platform to give the next wave of artists a chance to make some noise. Today, the label and the events are still all about keeping it sexy, fun, and packed with those slow bpm that keeps the party going all night long.
