Keen-eyed and avid fans of clubbing in Ibiza will have noticed a lot of reports coming from the island over the last month. Even in the last two weeks since our last round-up, there have been some major developments that are enough to make you want to book a one-way ticket to the Isla Paradiso.
From super club openings to pool party season announcements, there are already a heap of exciting events to pack out any summer vacation. One thing is for certain, the run-up to the return of the Ibiza season has well and truly begun.

April
Pacha Grand Opening Party | Friday 29 April
One club that we’ve been waiting to hear from is the cherry-branded institution that is Pacha. In the past, the legendary venue has pulled out all the stops to kick off a season, roping in residents to ignite the fireworks. They follow suit in 2022 by featuring DJing supremo Solomun on their opening night, from start to finish, all night long.
Club aficionados will tell you that these mammoth long sets should be on any ravers’ bucket list. The Diynamic label boss is well known for his impeccable tune selections, which feature some of the very best in melodic techno and heavy electronica. As Friday nights in Ibiza go, they don’t come much better than this.

Es Paradis Opening Party | Sunday 1 May
One of Ibiza’s ‘OG clubs’ and one of the most beautiful venues on the island, Es Paradis opens right at the beginning of the month. Anyone who is visiting San Antonio and is in search of some old school vibes should look no further than this mansion of musical splendour.
David Moreno, Bruno From Ibiza, Felix da funk and Danny O will be raising the roof on the first of many uplifting nights at the venue. The iconic venue is also set to launch two new residencies in 2022. A hip-hop and reggaeton extravaganza called You Know The Vibes on 2 May, and Lotusland, a tech-house daytime pool party on 16 May.
Circoloco Opening Party | DC10 | Monday 2 May
Monday doesn’t seem like a natural day to have a banging underground party, but this is Ibiza and we do things differently here. Circoloco has been pulling in the punters for over 20 years, their faultless line-ups are the main attraction. Throw in the dusk to dawn timetable and planes flying over DC10, and you have a recipe for party gold.
Peggy Gou, Maceo Plex, Seth Troxler, Tale Of Us and Michael Bibi are just some of the names on the impressive first line-up. Just think, whilst your mates are stuck at work at the start of the week, you could be starting your week with an insane opening party. They’ll be green with envy.
O Beach Opening | Friday 6 May
There are not many Ibiza clubbing hotspots that can boast that they are open 7 days a week. O Beach can shout this fact from the rooftops as they have parties on from Monday to Sunday. The palatial pool party venue is famously known for its dazzling daytime shows, VIP service and celebrity clientele.
The open-air venue will be starting off the season with warm-up parties from the 22 April, officially opening on 6 May. With a mixture of playful residents and special guests performing a string of pop-house jams on each of the days, you’re sure to have an incredible sun-kissed experience.

Glitterbox Opening | Hï Ibiza | Sunday 8 May
Lift your hands up and rejoice as Glitterbox once again takes up residence on Sunday Nights in Playa d’en Bossa. With its outrageous queen aesthetic and love-filled soundtrack, this groove sensation is beloved by dance floor veterans and first-timers alike.
The funky Mecca for disco souls frequently bring star-studded acts and respected selectors to the Theatre and Club rooms. This delicious mix makes for a sequinned spectacular like no other on the island. All we can say is don your dancing shoes and most flamboyant evening wear, then have a whirl under a glittering disco ball.
Saga Opening Party | Pacha | 25 May
Masters of the ethereal and exotic Bedouin were poised to start a new chapter of the Saga event story in 2020. However, as we know, it wasn’t meant to be that season, nor the one after. The duo have waited patiently for their next move, and now they are ready to conquer Wednesdays in Pacha.
Their shows have a broad sonic vision that encompasses influences from the Middle East and beyond, each track an emotive storytelling piece on its own. Saga is a night where you can truly lose yourself in the instrumental tapestry that Bedouin conjure up in their spellbinding sets.
Cuckoo Land Opening Party | Ibiza Rocks | 27 May
Crazy DJs, insane music, mad pool party antics, it can only be Cuckoo Land. They are back again on Fridays for 18 weeks, this time with a brand new recruit. Capital Dance Radio host Jess Bays joins the wild crew, stepping up to be a lead resident in Ibiza Rocks for the season.
Dance floor steppers and thumping beat addicts will love every bit of this party. You can expect a healthy dose of tech-house and nu-disco, each and every week. The best bit about this party is that if you need to cool off from all that dancing, just jump in for a swim – Ibiza Rocks is the home of the pool party after all.

Calvin Harris Opening Party | Ushuaïa | 3 June
Calvin Harris is a name that needs little introduction. He’s a chart-topping star and world-famous DJ & Producer who has created a string of hits like One Kiss, We Found Love and Promises to name a few. Furthermore, he isn’t afraid to diversify his sound, opting for a euphoric-tech affair with his Love Regenerator moniker.
Following a short and sweet set of appearances at Ushuaïa in 2019, the Scottish artists now calls Ibiza his home. He returns to the massive festival-like stage for 14 weeks of anthems and high octane thrills. This hugely popular party is likely to sell out early, so make sure you grab your tickets on your next payday
Gorgon City & Sonny Fedora | Amnesia | 20 June
A trio of talent is taking over the Terrace this season, as House music crowd favourites Sonny Fedora and Gorgon City join forces for a full summer run.
Sonny Fodera has been a staple of Ibiza through his residency at Ibiza Rocks in recent years, but now the Aussie groover spinner is set to bring his emotive brand of electronic music to the San Rafael institution.
Gorgon City are already well known for both their command of the famous venue and for their Amnesia-ready ‘Terrace’ dubs of their biggest hits. Both acts will no doubt bring a huge amount of energy and banging tunes to the iconic venue each and every Monday.
