Ibiza will experience a remarkable change of light on Wednesday 12 August, when a total solar eclipse passes over the Balearic Islands shortly before sunset. At around 8.33pm, the Moon is expected to cover the Sun completely for just over a minute, briefly casting the island into twilight.

After witnessing this rare celestial phenomenon from one of the island’s viewing points, guests can make their way to Bambuddha, one of Ibiza’s most iconic “temple restaurants”, where dinner, cocktails and music offer a natural second chapter to the evening.

Set among bamboo gardens on San Juan Road, Bambuddha unfolds through candlelit pathways, carved stone figures, secluded terraces and richly decorated dining spaces. Founded in 1999 by John Moon, the original elder of the Black Sheep Tribe, Bambuddha has developed into one of Ibiza’s most distinctive destinations.
