Ibiza’s Stonehenge. Yes, you read it right

Time and Space, referred by locals as Ibiza’s Stonehenge, is a contemporary art installation near Cala Llentia. It was created in 2014 by Australian artist Andrew Rogers, and, interestingly enough, it was commissioned by Guy Laliberté, the founder of Cirque du Soleil.

Looking closely, this sculpture, or rather an installation, consists of 13 basalt columns, not 12 as previously stated, arranged in a circular formation. It was inspired by the solar system, with the designs incorporating the Fibonacci sequence.

Atlantis Ibiza

Atlantis Ibiza, or as you say in Spanish – Sa Pedrera de Cala d’Hort – is a true nature beauty, located in the heart of Cala d’Hort nature reserve. This sandstone quarry dates back to the 16th century, and the rumor says that some stones were extracted here to build the walls of Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

But here’s the plot twist. In the 1960s, hippies discovered this place and shortly became obsessed with it, naming it “Atlantis.” In fact, they even carved sculptures and symbols into the rocks, like Behhhas, fish, and other motifs. You can still find it nowadays.

And for foodies out there, head to Las Dalias Night Market, located in one of the most picturesque and breathtaking villages on the island, San Carlos.
