Can Ros: Museo de Etnografía de Ibiza

Museums

Located just 200 meters from the Puig de Missa church in Santa Eulària des Riu, the Ethnography Museum of Ibiza is housed in Can Ros, a traditional farmhouse over 300 years old and designated as an Asset of Cultural Interest.

The museum showcases a comprehensive ethnographic collection, offering insights into Ibiza’s unique rural architecture and cultural heritage.

Visitors can explore various rooms, including the main hall (porxo), kitchen, wine cellar, oil press, well, cistern, bedrooms (cases de dormir), and balcony (porxet).

The permanent exhibition features traditional clothing, jewelry, domestic items, farming tools, musical instruments, and personal artifacts. Notably, Can Ros possesses its own wine press located within a cave and is the birthplace of Father Antonio Guasch i Bufí, a Jesuit priest and linguist proficient in 12 languages.
