An idyllic sea-front shopping and leisure destination, Marina Ibiza is designed for upscale activity. While in previous years the district has been one that those in the know would frequent, a revamp and emerging of new brands has seen a boom in what this cornered away haven has to offer. Featuring illustrious establishments such as Lío and Blue Marlin that draw in the largely night-time crowd, the daytime, conversely, is not one to be overlooked. Throughout the month of July, Marina Ibiza has seen a medley of openings from famed luxury houses celebrating their Ibiza store locations and exclusively designed, custom collections.
From Bvlgari to Hublot, Dolce & Gabbana to Christian Dior, a select offering of the world’s finest labels all came together to throw their own party and cut the ribbon to their storefronts across the previous weeks. An influx of influencers, celebrities and socialites took to the glamorous Marina to marvel in the personalised openings. Tag Heuer was the first to kick off proceedings, inaugurating its new Ibiza-based store with a vibrant get together. The premium Swiss watchmakers brought an unforgettable event where National Geographic’s underwater director, Manu San Félix, alongside Spanish model Almudena Fernández opened up the evening. An edible clock and soundtrack supplied by the Lunnas sisters set a fitting tone to commemorating both the launch of the space and collection, featuring a model of watch created specifically for Ibiza.
Italian accessories and jewellery brand Bvlgari brought the sparkle next, celebrating the opening of its store with a private party hosting glitterati and close friends. Guests were seen donning the latest designs of exquisite gemstone jewellery, glamorous watches and stylish handbags which glistened against the ultra-luxe interiors. Cocktails inspired by the creations circled the floor to the sounds of Spanish model-turned-musician Aldo Comas who kept the Balearic rhythms alive throughout the event. Keeping the torch burning next was Swiss watch brand, Hublot. Unlocking the door to their treasures, the opening day saw brand CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe, show face alongside directors of the company and ambassador Noemí de Miguel, also a presenter of Formula 1. Once the inauguration ribbon was cut, guests moved to Calma Bistro in the Marina to further congratulate the day, toasting with a drink to spectacular live music. Topped off with a surprise, Hublot announced access to a limited edition watch of fifty units, sold exclusively in Ibiza and of which several got snapped up at the party.
Luxury Italian fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana, presented the penultimate storefront opening. A highly-exclusive gathering of close relations to the label, the brand’s capsule collection designed especially for its Marina store saw its first unravelling on the night. With only a select few units of shoes, handbags and purses created, inspired by the island and Dalt Vila, the arrival of the legendary brand made sure excitement levels were kept high. Finishing off the slew of festivities, the coveted, French label Dior is set to prize open its illustrious doors towards the end of the month. Italian fashion designer and creative director of the brand, Maria Grazia Chiuri, will be presenting her capsule collection which has seen roaring success across the world. Inspired by the Riviera and promise of an eternal summer on the White Isle, dreamy designs are soon to be available to us all.
With the fanfare of the month almost over, a world of exquisite design and exclusive collections are all for the taking at Marina Ibiza. A keepsake from the holiday of a lifetime is the ultimate gift to takeaway and with an experience like no other, the Marina is the new destination for luxury shopping-’til-you-drop.
