PYRAMID presents Diynamic Review
25th July 2018 0 comments

When i first heard the news that Solomun was bringing his Diynamic showcase to Amnesia for the very first time i was intrigued. My favourite DJ playing in my favourite club. Last year was the first time i attended the Diynamic showcase at DC10 and if that was anything to go by then tonight was going to be a treat.

Pyramid is a new party every Monday night for the clubbing mecca and the line ups so far have been unbelievable. Pyramid promises the return of the old Ibiza vibes where all that mattered was the music and energy on the dance floor so Diynamic was going to  be the perfect fit in hosting their showcase here.

As i arrived at the dusty car park around 1.30am Amnesia was starting to busy up. Magdalena who currently has a residency at Blue Marlin SHADOWS every Friday was on the decks warming up nicely as the crowd was getting into the swing of things. Magdalena has been apart of the Diynamic family from the start but chosen to stay behind the scenes. Now she’s in the spotlight and releasing her own productions exciting times are ahead for this lovely lady! Magdalena handed over to the Swiss duo Adriatique at 2am. They started off with a great deep house track Feels Real (Larse Remix) by Shit Robot with the distinghtly Adriatique twist followed by Abendland AM – Concept which had the crowd jumping as you can see below.

Adriatique are well known for being consistent in their sets and that really showed tonight as they slowed the bpm and then speeded it back up again with twists and turns as they incorporated sci-fi sounds which had the crowd in a hypnotic groove. Just before 4am i headed over to the club room to catch the last ten minutes of HOSH. It’s always a pleasure to see this guy play as he knows exactly how to get the crowd jumping with his incredible mixing. Back over in the terrace excitement was building on the packed dance floor as the king of deep house and techno was about to join Adriatique behind the decks.

Solomun graced the decks as Adriatique left the stage the crowd went crazy. There was no wasting time as he went straight in with his floor thrillers. Slowing it down from time to time and showing the emotional richness which is often found in his sets. There was one particular remix that stood out hidden place by BJORK this had the place in a state of trance. I left around 6am while the party was still in full swing. It was an incredible night which will go down in Amnesia history!

Next week at Pryamid catch Maceo Plex and Stephan Bodzin headline plus many more!
