Swingin Tonic, the vintage-style swing band founded by guitarist Iván Pacheco and singer Claudia Ottelli, both residents of the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia.

The event, promoted by the Consistory as part of the International Tourism Fair, Fitur 2024, kicked off at 3:30 pm at the Ibiza stand. With this initiative, Sant Josep is seeking to “boost musical performances and tourism linked to art and music, as well as to promote the local economy by supporting local groups”, according to the town’s mayor, Vicente Roig. “We have versatile, first-class facilities, such as the Caló de s’Oli Auditorium and the Can Jeroni cultural space, which are ideal for organising congresses and events of different kinds, both business and musical. In addition, more and more hotels and private establishments are opting for this way of promoting leisure and culture with the aim of offering added value to their clients”, remarked Roig, who reminded the audience that the Sonorama Ribera music festival will return to the island with its ‘Sonorama Ribera goes to Ibiza’, on 4th, 5th and 6th October, with performances by Chambao, Dorian and Varry Brava, as well as other renowned groups.

Sant Josep és Música, a project created by the City Council, has exceeded 1,200 concerts promoted in 2023, which represents a 20% increase in this sector compared to the previous year.

This portal was launched in January 2022 and during that year around 1,000 concerts were published on its web agenda, organised both by public institutions in municipal venues and by private venues.
