Just like its laborious namesake, through dedication and perseverance over the years the ANTS concept has grown into one of the island’s most successful and beloved party series.
So you better believe that after a two-year enforced hiatus, the colony and its global fanbase marched into the historic Ibiza season of 2022 with unbridled energy – and bigger than ever before!
For the first time ever, Ushuaïa Ibiza’s flagship event crossed the road to take over sister venue Hï Ibiza after dark, to deliver an extra helping of ANTS goodness after hours.
For the occasion, a suitably big line-up had been curated that pulled in the crowds from all four corners of the island. Kicking off proceedings at open-air party palace Ushuaïa Ibiza, FISHER, Eats Everything, David Squillace b2b Matthias Tanzmann, Prunk, SYREETA, and Raúl Rodríguez were in charge of cutting the ribbon on a brand new ANTS season.
Needless to say, electronic music lovers began to trickle in from early on to make the most of the occasion. Under the motto ANTS Invasion, Ushuaïa Ibiza had been turned into an immersive Science Fiction playground inspired by 1960s B-Movies.
The Ushuaïa Ibiza production team and never fails to push the boat out, and so we were greeted by a ginormous ant crawling over the iconic festival-size stage, later illuminated by a dramatic red glow as night began to fall.
The famous Ushuaïa poolside began to fill up fast and before long the venue had been turned into a throbbing hive of clubbers as fierce tech house and techno beats rained down upon the crowd.
With sexy space sirens showing off their sizzling moves, confetti explosions and flamethrowers going off, and lasers slicing through the night sky like light sabres, the first part of the ANTS Invasion opening party was a jaw-dropping affair.
Needless to say, the eager crowd didn’t need asking twice to march on over to futuristic super club Hï Ibiza for round two!
With the likes of Andrea Oliva, Chloé Robinson, Eli & Fur, Ilario Alicante, Joris Voorn, KiNK, Nic Fanciulli and Paco Osuna all billed to play, there was no letting up in energy and excitement.
With thundering beats shaking the foundations of the cavernous Theatre room and the intimate Club space all night long, and mind-bending visuals and lighting enhance the cutting-edge underground tech sounds, it was crystal-clear that the ANTS colony is once again marching into another successful summer…
