The nights are getting shorter and this can only mean one thing…the summer season is well and truly on its way BUT don’t be fooled into thinking that the White Isle is sleeping. Oh no, February still has plenty going on and it is a great time to get a cheap flight and check out what Ibiza has to offer before the crowds return. And with temperatures still hovering around a mild 14 degrees, you can escape the Feb Freeze and defrost those dancing shoes!
Pacha is famous for its summer showdown events but did you know Pacha is open all year round for locals and in-between season goers? Well, now you do! With their weekly comedy club and dinner show ‘Los Viernes’ running every Friday, you can test your Catalan (or Spanish depending on the comedian) and sample some of the local sense of humour. And don’t worry if your language skills are a little sketchy, you can still enjoy the excellent food and drinks and dance the calories off after with Dj’s Angel Linde and Ken Abel.
Fan of Flashmob? This Saturday sees them return to Pacha for the Ibiza Global Showcase along with David Moreno, Toni Moreno and Angel Linde for a night of ‘House things’ and more!
Got a late deal on a flight? Saturday 18th Feb see’s Sebastian Gamboa return to Pacha with his ‘Vintage’ event and he brings friends Lunnas, Oscar Colorado and Mimi Barber with him.
The last Friday of the month is back to comedy at Pacha with ‘Los Viernes and Ibiza talents’ with great performances from Manu Gonzalez, Eder Alvarez, Davina Moss, Rickzor & Rumme, and Tom Pool.
All Pacha-ed out? Wander over to Malanga Café for their After Dark Winter Sessions on Saturday 11th Feb. With free entry, this party goes on from 11pm till 6am and is full of funky, seductive rhythms and groovy hypnotic beats from the ever so talented Dj Mr Doris, Kevin Cutts and Ibiza legend and resident of Veto Social Club and Ibiza Sonica regular, Lorcan.
And if both Pacha and Malanga Café is not what you are after and you fancy letting out your animal side whilst doing your bit for charity, ‘PARTY FOR ANIMALS’ is a 12-hour music Marathon that has been organised to help raise money for various animal charities including Mojis, DUO and Care4Cats.
DJs Aphotek, Eva Pacific, Hofer66, Javi Mor, Martijn Ten Velden, Usual Suspect, and a guest surprise Special arrived from Berlin are all spinning the decks for a good cause, so come on down on Saturday 11th Feb, pay your 10euro (+concession) and know that with every step you dance, you are helping animals in need. It’s a win-win!
Have you heard of Sushipoint Ibiza? The perfect fusion of Japanese cuisine and Mediterranean dishes come together at this stylish and exquisite restaurant in Marina Botafoch. Sit and enjoy panoramic views of the old town whilst you nibble on freshly made sushi and sip on the most delectable of cocktails. If you are on a romantic Valentines break in Ibiza, then why not stop here for dinner on Friday 10th February and then treat your loved one to dancing till dawn with Sushipoint’s ‘San Valentin Weekend’ event, with music by Vidal Rodriguez and Jacobo Saavedra and if the romance worked, return on the Saturday for more with Ken Abel. With the event starting at 9pm and going on till 3:30am, there is still plenty of time for a moonlit walk on the beach back to the hotel!
