Eden’s Energy-Packed Summer Roster Run-Through
26th April 2019 0 comments

We could say this every year, but truly, 2019 is looking like a year of big things for the White Isle. Certainly, for one venue, who is often outspoken by its mightier club-mates, its calendar this season is not messing – not one bit! So, grab a notepad and pen, folks, for Eden is making sure San Antonio is the hottest postcode around. With one of the best sound systems going and with plenty of new events on the roster, crystalline, hair-raising beats are set to get served in glorious abundance. For lovers of the fresh and the underground, read on to see Eden’s full summer offerings.

Keeping Monday’s exciting, this slot on the schedule comes in two-parts. From 3rd June to 16th September, the progressive Timo Maas will be leading the way with IDOL. A night that promises a palpable, futuristic scene, deep and mesmeric sounds set the foundation to extraordinary lightshows and dancers. Bringing alongside him respected international artists, King Joshua, ARTBAT and Catz ‘n Dogz are some to expect. 5th August to 23rd September sees Liverpudlian night Mansion oozing glamour all over Eden’s cavernous dancefloor. Acts are yet to be announced but for dazzling clubbing done by those who know it best, keep watch!

Tuesday as it stands is reserving itself for a one-off special – business for the legends and legends only. Judgement is returning on 1st October with, of course, the iconic Judge Jules at the helm; reviving the spirit of the golden era. A party that was wildly popular during the Ibizan noughties, classic tunes will be spinning off these turntables from the likes of Vicky Devine, Dermot C and Tristan Ingram.

Following the lead in one-off extravaganzas, garage-lovers rejoice – 26th September is all yours. Garage Nation is taking it over in a heady mix so far comprising of DJ Luck & MC Neat and DJ Cartier & B Live. Pure energy guaranteed, this event is tried and tested – since 1997 dancefloors have been getting unmistakably torn apart. And, get ready for an epic mid-week fix, Wednesday’s at Eden are pounding hard. From 22nd May to 4th September techno brand Tronic emerges with their first residency, teamed up with promoter Terminal 4. Led by DJ Christian Smith, a night with plenty of sonic boom is incoming – OK1, Deborah De Luca and Pig&Dan are a few carrying the torch.

A man needing not many introductions, Paul van Dyk is bringing his residency, SHINE, to Eden, 11th July to 19th September. Formerly held in Privilege, trance lovers we will say no more, the line-ups are spectacular enough that we will leave you with this: Aly & Fila, Ben Nicky, Alex M.O.R.P.H. and Jordan Suckley. Thursdays are set to look wonderfully neon-lit and euphoria-filled!

Another recognisable night for avid house-fans, Defected returns to its spiritual home every Friday from 17th May to 27th September. This event has historically caused the most mayhem in San Antonio and remains a firm favourite amongst the island. Sounds so on-point and addictive, we can bet you’ll be glued to the front of the DJ booth all night long. Again, we’re saying no more for Gorgon City, MK, Darius Syrossian, Basement Jaxx Amine Edge & Dance are just a few to whet your appetite.

And, for those looking to immerse in a fantastical dressage of themed parties, WNDRLND is sorting something spicy for you all. The minds behind Pukka Up will be doing Eden a 360 every Saturday with nights coded ‘Voodoo’ and ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’. From 25th May to 21st September, expect the sensational and out-there, with up-and-coming resident DJs who will be sending across plenty of fire.

Ensuring the week ends with an almighty bang, the big-time label Toolroom by Mark Knight will be setting off some serious vibes. The self-titled night plays homage to all of the pioneering sounds the brand has produced in the electronic scene, carrying along with the man himself names like Danny Howard, Hannah Wants and Second City. From 2nd June to 22nd September, the lasers will be fully out in force.

So, it looks like raving all night long is what we’ll be doing at Eden this summer. With line-ups this generous and brimming with talent, we recommend booking your tickets early – it’s looking like a corker of a season.
