Last night we ventured out to Ibiza town to the oldest night club on the island for the closing of Flower Power.
The show started for us really on the approach with models being body painted with the iconic cherries on their deriers and themed fiat 500’s lined the entrance.. Pacha’s production and animation team really go all out for this night and the club looked beautiful. On entry we were presented by ladies giving daisies to all and there were stalls selling flower head bands and
accessories in the foyer. We journeyed into the main room and it was really like going back in time, Flower Power revellers really get immersed in this night’s free, peace and love theme and it seemed there were very few not in 60’s attire.
The Go Go Pacha dancers looked amazing and keeping their reputation as being the islands’ best still strong this season. A live band played some 60s/70s classics and the resident DJs kept the theme going with crowd floor pleasers such as James Brown’s ‘Get Up ‘ and La Bamba by Los Lobos.
We moved up stairs to find Angel Linde playing quality house music in the Funky Room and he made way for 2017 ‘s best Ibiza DJ award winner Graham Sahara who played a great mix of house classics and this room’s vibe although not in keeping with the flower power music theme was busy all night with a different crowd of house music enthusiasts. Moving further up to the roof terrace we took some time out from dancing and chilled in the welcomed cabana beds, there was a real sense of reunion upstairs with many all year residents coming out the woodwork for this closing party and venues such as Ocean Beach Club have an annual staff gathering here so it was like an end of season ‘letting off steam’ event for the island’s hard working seasonairs too.
The party didn’t stop for us until 5am when we took the flowers out of our hair and journeyed home, once again my favourite party of the year and for us at Clubbers App to Ibiza we want to thank Pacha for their hospitality this season and we look forward to seeing you all for summer 2018.
