There has never been a better time to tuck into the best of Ibiza Town’s restaurants. The recent June solstice is your official signal for summer! Get ready as long, lazy lunches and balmy, night time dinners are once again ahead of us. You can be sure within what is still a ‘new normal’ to find everything you crave in the buzzy, gastronomical hub of the southeast. Read on for our top picks.

The old town is a favourite for its romantic, cobbled streets, historic architecture and abundance of activity. It’s the zone that encapsulates the renaissance walls of Dalt Vila where the charming La Brasa can be found. An intimate, rustic courtyard dripping in foliage sets the scene for traditional, Catalan fare. The hideaway is ideal for couples and slow dinners spent working through its wine menu, topped off with a stroll through nearby Placa del Parc!

La Bodega Ibiza

A little further along, at the foot of Dalt Vila’s drawbridge is the iconic tapas spot, La Bodega. Spectacularly located, it’s a difficult choice of whether to savour a meal outdoors or inside the quirky reformed stable. Kitted with olde worlde furnishings and sporting an extensive menu of tapa-sized portions, friendly staff are on hand to answer the age-old questions of ‘how many’ and, ‘which ones?’. Accessibly priced and perfect for groups, La Bodega is a true go-to.

For views of the bustling Vara de Rey plaza, Peix Cru is well-known for stellar seafood that won’t break the bank. Casual alfresco settings allow for its food to do all the talking which is just as well. From seafood tasting menus to ‘all you can eat’ sushi experiences and a value, lunchtime ‘menu del dia’, there’s a wealth of lobster, king prawns and scallops to taste. You’ll certainly notice the excellent hand at cooking here and you may find it’s one you’ll want to keep coming back to.

hostal

If the ocean is calling you, a stop just outside of town to Talamanca is well worth it for Hostal Talamanca. Its restaurant truly tries without trying. Unpretentious with a stunning backdrop, its decking atop which mouth-watering Mediterranean fare is served boasts incredible views over the sea. It serves as a great spot for a serene breakfast and for laid-back drinks, too.

oyster ibiza

Oysters and champagne, anyone? A first-of-its-kind, Oyster Ibiza is an emporium of seafood, oysters, fine wines and champagne. We cheated, it’s a shop but is perfect for those with a rental car. Some of the most clear-water beaches can be found in the south, and so the ultimate pitstop would be for a fanciful picnic on route to one of them. Pick up a tray of oysters – as fresh as they come – complete with slices of lemon and homemade sauces.

Candypants at STK

And for when the stars come out, there’s only one place to be for an unforgettable dinner. Stylish and spirited, STK Ibiza boasts an extravagant dinner and dance experience. Bask in a modern steakhouse menu under the glow of pink and purple lights. Come suited and booted for fine steak with chimichurri sauce, mini sliders and fish bowl sized sundaes while disco dancers circle the tables. Buen provecho!
