Finca La Plaza, one of Ibiza’s most unique gastronomic and lifestyle venues, presents LUNÁTICO, a permanent photographic exhibition by Bernd Mayer and Yvonne Mayer that invites visitors to discover the island through a poetic and deeply emotional lens. The opening will take place on 3 June 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm, at the Santa Gertrudis restaurant.
Conceived as an artistic experience integrated into the atmosphere of Finca La Plaza, LUNÁTICO brings together a series of striking night-time photographs taken exclusively under the light of the full moon and without artificial lighting. The works, in black and white and with a cinematic aesthetic, capture landscapes, coves and hidden corners of Ibiza from an intimate and almost dreamlike perspective.
After decades working internationally for firms such as Porsche, Mercedes, Vitra and De Beers, German photographer Bernd Mayer found something unexpected in Ibiza: silence. Together with Yvonne Mayer, with whom he has had a connection to the island since 1981, he began to develop this artistic project based on contemplation, patience and a connection with nature.
After decades working for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Porsche, Mercedes, Vitra and De Beers, German photographer Bernd Mayer found something unexpected in Ibiza: silence. He and Yvonne Mayer have known the island since 1981 and now call Ibiza their home. Together, they began creating deeply atmospheric long-exposure photographs captured exclusively at night and only under full moonlight, without artificial light, pressure, or commercial expectations.
Each image is the result of long night-time waits, secret locations and the unpredictability of the moon and the landscape, resulting in a collection that reflects the most mystical and emotional beauty of Ibiza after dark.
The exhibition will become a permanent feature of Finca La Plaza, a space where gastronomy, design, art and lifestyle coexist naturally. Located in the heart of Santa Gertrudis, the restaurant has established itself as one of the island’s must-visit destinations thanks to its contemporary Mediterranean cuisine, its meticulously curated surroundings and a vision of the dining experience centred on the sensory, the authentic and a connection with the environment.
The opening private view takes place on Tuesday 3 June, from 18:00 to 20:30, at Finca La Plaza, Plaza de la Iglesia 5, Santa Gertrudis. Attendance is by guest list registration only. LUNÁTICO remains on display inside Finca La Plaza throughout the 2026 season.`
