New Year’s Eve on Ibiza: The Party Rundown
26th December 2019 0 comments

We’re fast approaching one of the biggest party nights of the year, have you planned your New Year’s Eve? With 2019 marking the end of a decade, what better way to celebrate the start of a new era – and a new you, of course – than in true decadence and style. Make it one to remember by spending it in the party capital of the world – Ibiza is always on hand to deliver an almighty fiesta. The announcements are out so read on for our run down of all the events you won’t want to miss come 31st January!

Glitz and glamour is the calling card of the night at Lío who present their signature dinner and cabaret show to kick things off. Once the clock strikes midnight the tables get pushed back to form an epic dancefloor that is set to come alive to the sounds of spunky sister-duo Lunnas and resident DJ Sebastian Gamboa. A hop, skip and step away from the dazzling Marina Lío sits on and we reach HEART Ibiza. Their state of the art equipment and fantastical light shows will no doubt be flexed for a night with music maestro Bob Sinclair, no less. His sexy, livening house sound will be accompanied by performances from John Acquaviva, Depaart, Fredelux and Mark Ursa. Expect some serious drama!

Further hotspots to lay on a lavish get together include Bambuddha. The picturesque ‘MediterrAsian’ eatery, popular among the illustrious, will be opening the doors to its temple. This year’s theme? The Roaring 20s, where art deco and glamour are set to combine within seductive, luxe settings. Feast on nibbles and plates throughout the night before a climactic finish on the dancefloor. For a touch of Ibicenco countryside, head to Casa Maca. The charming hotel and restaurant has planned a 3-course set menu and a variety of drinks packages to remain well watered throughout the night – our pick, the unlimited bar package. The best part? Kids are welcome to the fun, too.

Feeling something a little more laid back? Malanga Café in the heart of Ibiza town is in on the action. A rocking party is set to storm the cozy watering hole with a line-up that features a firecracker on the decks and one part of the island’s favourite quartet. Scott Gray from Melon Bomb will be on hand with the disco anthems alongside Andy Wilson from radio’s Ibiza Sonica. Completing proceedings are DJ Bebe and Andreas on the decks. Tickets include a glass of fizz upon entry! Take it a step further with a post-midnight rave, one venue that lives true to it’s name is enticing revellers with a surprise line-up but expect quality house and techno names. Underground will open its doors at 1am and, to make the New Year even sweeter, entry is free before 2am.

And, you won’t want to head home once 2020 hits. Come New Year’s Day and beyond, a smattering of shindigs are on hand to keep the torch alight. One event that is truly iconic and sees an almighty turn out is the marathon Circo Loco at DC10. The highly anticipated fiesta kicks off at 4pm on New Year’s Day with a cracking roster made up of Carl Craig, Richy Ahmed, Jackmaster and Archie Hamilton to name just a few. The aptly titled Keep on Dancing will be taking over Bora Bora on the 2nd, serving up signature house grooves. Keep an eye out for the line-up which is currently TBA. Ending things on a high, Octan – formerly Sankeys – is set to throw a wild one, 4th January. DJ duo 2vilas are bundling their record-store MTM into an event for the night. Berlin-based Giuliano Lomonte will be spinning alongside the boys with Nuzzo and Don Juanito in tow.

So, just what are you waiting for? Start 2020 as you mean to go on and grab your tickets now! Booking is highly suggested for these New Year’s crackers.
