For the ultimate sunshine-soaked party experience, where else to go than the glamorous, open-air Ushuaïa Ibiza? The colosseum-inspired dancing grounds, with hotel balconies that encircle the floor, never cuts its corners when it comes to putting on the hottest shows. Lacing its clubbing calendars with the biggest names in EDM and house, of course the production isn’t going to be outshined. Salacious dancers that swing from sky-high podiums, gargantuan ice cannons and explosive laser shows that permeate the sky altogether make for the perfect carrier to this season’s soundtrack.
And, making sure it’s a summer to remember, a man needing no introductions will be maintaining Mondays as everyone’s new, favourite day. BIG by David Guetta is an ode to what it means to be boss. For this Frenchman, the poolside stage venue of Ushuaïa Ibiza is absolutely no biggie, having hosted several season’s worth of parties here before. So, if anyone knows how to orchestrate a vast crowd into total bedlam it’s Guetta – catch him from 10th June to 30th September.
Continuing the plough of big-room energy is Tuesdays with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. For those who’ve never made the pilgrimage to Belgium for this iconic festival, nothing’s lost, Tomorrowland is coming to Ibiza. A partnership that is almost guaranteed to conquer, the vast grounds of Ushuaïa Ibiza in tandem with these festival-maestros is set to dramatically transform. Kicking off Tuesday 18th June to 24th September, this year marks Tomorrowland’s 15th anniversary so big things are in store – you do not want to miss it!
Now, Wednesdays are no time for nodding off, either. Brand-new concept Dance Or Die is a fresh face to the scene yet, contain yourselves, as there’s some serious musical horsepower incoming. Nic Fanciulli will be leading the neon-lit, throwback sessions that put classic names up on the throne. The opening, 19th June, is already sporting Carl Cox, Paco Osuna and Acid Mondays so if that’s not enough to get the palpitations going, you’ve got until 25th September! And, stealing a few of the mid-week slots is the world-renowned elrow; 17th July, 7th and 21st August and 18th September. With no roof to contend with, and after a successful collaboration last year, the party starters are back with plenty of mischief.
The young King of EDM returns to his spiritual playground on Thursdays. Martin Garrix is coming through with a third season of explosive fire, 4th July until 28th August. Making sure the speakers reach their full capacity, Garrix will be dropping his trademark hit anthems alongside a crew of trailblazing electronica stars. Attracting revellers from all over the globe with his sound, his parties will have you on your feet all night long.
Bringing a dash of care-free summertime dancing to the hot-handed proceedings, Calvin Harris is taking over Fridays. Having recently been crowned as producer of the year at the Brit awards, where better to sample some of his effervescent sounds than Ushuaïa Ibiza? With a full line-up already announced, names include Disciples, Duke Dumont and Sonny Fodera; catch the Scotsman and team 2nd August till 6th September. Of course, it doesn’t stop just there. Some big news that will inevitably have the island in throes is the return of Swedish House Mafia. For one day and night only, the Scandinavian trio will be reuniting since their 2012 split – Friday 26th July is one date to be marked high priority!
A day on the calendar that’s pretty much become synonymous with one party is ANTS on Saturday. The wildly popular concept returns with its unique minimalistic music policy, nodding towards the sounds of the underground. With a line-up this year that will have you clutching to the ground in awe – as ever – everyone from Erick Morillo to Richy Ahmed, Maya Jane Coles to Joris Voorn are coming – headed by Andrea Oliva. We strongly encourage you check the rest of the roster; it all kicks off 1st June to 28th September. For those who are looking to simply shimmy their hips and get down to some funkier beats, Sunday rounds off nicely with a second new entry concept. Not that the day of the week matters in Ibiza, but for those who like their Sundays easy, MUCHO IBIZA is bringing Latin to the plush interiors of Ushuaïa Ibiza. Get ready for a showstopping opening, 16th June, by Daddy Yankee – you have until 25th August for plenty more.
