There are many viewpoints that offer spectacular vistas of Es Vedrà, but one location that cuts above the rest is the “Eye of Es Vedrà”. This holy natural rock formation was carved by the elements and attracts daredevils and adventurers alike. Many hikers head to the breath-taking cliff’s edge to admire the magical isle and mediterranean sea from a high peak. On that note, this spot definitely isn’t for the faint-hearted or those afraid of heights!

If you want to find this amazing place then first you need to drive to the spot indicated on our map. Any sat nav or maps app will direct you to this point, which will eventually lead you down a dirt road located in the area of Cap Llentrisca. Make sure you park when this road veers off to the left and you see a pole (check our 360 image for reference), making sure you leave your car out of the way so as not to obstruct anyone else.

Go up the hill past the pole and follow a narrow hiking path which leads off to the right. You may notice green markings on the floor left by previous hikers, follow these and you’ll stay on the right route. Eventually, you’ll start to climb further up the hill and you’ll see the “eye” on your left behind a small tree line. In totally the walk should take about 10-20 minutes depending on hiking ability.

Like most of our walking guides, we do suggest that you wear sturdy hiking boots or shoes, proper outdoor clothing and take plenty of water for the journey. Make sure you head out with your friends and don’t do this one alone, an excursion shared is an excursion enjoyed after all! We’re also sure that like us you want to keep Ibiza looking beautiful, so don’t be a litter bug and take your rubbish with you.

Before you set off, we must again stress that although the walking route is safe, use caution when walking around the cliff’s edge. We do not advise climbing on the rock, as this is extremely perilous. It may look like a great Instagram opportunity, but the treacherous height of this natural wonder make it a real danger. You can enjoy this place and make great memories if you are careful and responsible, but do so at your own risk.
