What’s on in December & Over Christmas in Ibiza?
12th December 2016 0 comments

If you’re fed up with mince pies, grey skies and repeats on the TV, you may well be dreaming of an alternative Christmas. If sunshine, international DJs and endless fun sound more appealing than an underwhelming roast and a day of hanging out with the family, why not pack your bags, jump on a plane and come and join us in Ibiza this Christmas?

Events take place across the island throughout the festive period, with everything from family friendly concerts and Christmas markets to huge club nights, DJ sets and beach parties on offer. What’s more, if you get bitten by the Ibiza bug, you can stick around for New Year and welcome 2017 in style. To help you plan your festive Balearic break, we’ve picked a few of our favourite festive events from across the White Isle.

Ibiza Christmas Markets

Plaza Antoni Albert I Nieto

With the Boulevard of Vara de Rey still undergoing major renovation, the centre of Christmas in Ibiza Town has been relocated to Plaza Antoni Albert I Nieto. The square will be kitted out with dazzling Christmas lights and there’ll be a festive market every day until the beginning of January, giving you the perfect opportunity to pick up some unique Christmas gifts.

Calle de la Virgen

The Calle de la Virgen will be home to ‘International Christmas’ in Ibiza Town this year. You’ll find a great choice of food and drink from every corner of the globe, giving you and your family the chance to see what the festive season is like around the world.

Family Friendly Events

Santa Eulalia Town Hall

The town hall in Santa Eulalia will be running a programme of family friendly events throughout the Christmas period. There’ll be story telling, carols, music, festive concerts and more.

Parque Reina Sofía

For some classic festive family fun, head to the Parque Reina Sofia. There you’ll find an ice rink, complete with Christmas decorations, where the kids can work off their energy and you can practice your pirouettes.
