Ibiza Christmas & New Years
21st December 2015 0 comments

Think of Christmas in Ibiza and you don’t jump to white snow and carol singing. However, swapping the more traditional ways for white sandy beaches and margaritas isn’t too shabby either!

The locals are largely Catholic, so you can expect to find some of the same as back home, with Midnight Mass a must, the streets decorated with lights and the shops being open later than normal, but you are also treated to hippie markets stalls selling festive wares, and every town has an abundance of shows and activities. More so than in the UK, everyone gets into the Festive Spirit, so leave your Bah Humbug at home and get involved!Ibiza at Christmas

Similar to Christmas Day beach swims in the UK (but slightly warmer we think), you can go down to San Antonio Bay and watch the locals swim across the harbour alongside hundreds of people. It’s a great atmosphere and well worth a watch.
And keep an eye out for Santa, as he is known to wander the street of Ibiza, swinging a bell
